Handling Canvas section changes
August 3, 2020If you are one of the many instructors who was recently notified that your fall course section number has changed, don’t worry. You do not need to order a new Canvas account; you simply need to enroll the new list into your existing fall Canvas account (if you have set one up). To enroll a class list into an existing account, go to Canvas > Help > Prepare to Teach > drag and drop the new class list(s) from the left column into the existing Red (unpublished) or Green (published) course box on the right. If you don’t have a Canvas account yet, then you can create one by dragging the class list from the left column to the empty space on top of the listing of account boxes on the right. Note that it is not necessary to un-enroll old lists if all the students have been removed by the Registrar. Only the instructor of record can enroll/un-enroll class lists.
