Responsibilities
My responsibilities included being the first friendly face members would see coming into the gym, signing people up for memberships, maintaining the gym's appearance, building rapport with members, training clients, financial work, and customer service overall.
Accomplishments
This would have to be watching the clients I worked with grow and advance their skills through the programs I helped build for them to do. It is amazing to watch them improve, and visibly see them happy about improving, and knowing that I hard a part in that.
Learning experience
I have been learning every single day about how much of a client/person-centered career this is. It isn't jus the science and optimizing the workouts for clients, but it is more important to build rapport with your clients and help them enjoy their fitness journey.
What advice would you give?
There is no absolute, correct answer. This is a field that is open to interpretation in ways that you build programs, progress exercises, etc. Everyone will do it their own way, but just know that your way works for your clients and helps them reach their goals!
