Responsibilities
Set up and tear down of equipment for workouts, prepare post-workout and post-practice shakes, and lead athletes through dynamic warm-ups.
Accomplishments
My greatest accomplishment was getting to work with the freshmen, one on one. I was able to put them through workouts and cleaned up their technique. This gave me hands-on experience working with athletes. I enjoyed working with them because I could see the weekly progress they were making.
What advice would you give?
Start gaining experience as soon as you can. Real-world knowledge will take you farther then pure coursework knowledge. Strength and conditioning positions require experience so go out and get that experience early. Read as many books as you can on a variety of subjects.
