Responsibilities

During my internship I worked closely and assisted the program coordinators within the A&O department. Collected and interpreted data from multiple programs, created/updated spreadsheets used for grant reporting. Observed client education and staff in Hannah Geneser Learning Center and Safety Store. Managed annual conference registration activities, documentation of attendance, and facilitation of materials. Operated vendor tables at community events and spread awareness about A&O programs.

Accomplishments

My greatest accomplish during my internship was being able to create informational material for my supervisor and other program coordinators about their individual programs. They will be able to use it during meetings, educational classes, post it on websites, and share it with the community.

Learning experience

I learned that it is very important to network and become friends with people's friends. It makes getting your foot in the door easier while also developing those relationships. Your time management and organizational skills are crucial if you want to have a stress free future. You will benefit from every aspect in your life if you prioritize yourself and your health.

What advice would you give?

Never be scared to ask questions or think your question is dumb. It's always better to speak up instead of being quiet because you get nowhere if you stay quiet.
