Accomplishments

Networking opportunities with different strength coaches at different institutions was probably one of my favorite times as an intern. It was nice getting to experience and learn from other strength coaches and learn how one strength coach's philosophy isn't the only right way.

Learning experience

Reflecting on my internship experience, I learned several valuable lessons: 1. Time Management: One of the greatest lessons I learned was the importance of effective time management. Balancing assignments, deadlines, and responsibilities taught me to prioritize tasks efficiently and allocate my time wisely to meet objectives. 2. Communication Skills: Engaging with colleagues, supervisors, and clients during my internship enhanced my communication skills. 3. Adaptability: Embracing new challenges and adjusting to unexpected situations helped me navigate various tasks and responsibilities effectively. Overall, my internship provided invaluable lessons that not only enhanced my skills and knowledge but also shaped my mindset and approach towards future endeavors.

What advice would you give?

Some advice I have for future students is: Seek Mentorship Network, Network, Network Stay Passionate: Above all, remain passionate about your field. The work you do in exercise science has the potential to positively impact individuals' lives through improved health and wellness. There will be people who try to bring you down, don't let anyone's ignorance, hate, drama, or negativity stop you from being the best person you can be!
