My job during my time at Black Clover was to lead and assist the group fitness program. I make sure that each participant knows which exercises to do and how to do them correctly. If anyone within the group had any physical obstacles such as back or knee pain, I would help them find modified versions to get them maximum results.
My greatest accomplishment has been working with a man who hasn't exercised in 20 years. During his first 3 weeks I have helped him get a great feel for a wide variety of different exercises. I've helped him get comfortable doing proper squats, push ups, and lunges which has shown in his progress within our workouts.
What advice would you give?
You have to understand that going into the fitness industry, you aren't going to get paid to work full-time right out of college. It is important to network and be ready to market yourself.
