Hear how Iowa State’s Kinesiology and Health program prepared Alayna for her future as a physician’s assistant

Alayna chose Iowa State’s Kinesioloy and Health program because she was looking for a program to support her future goal of becoming a physician assistant. Along the way, she found supportive classmates, professors invested in her success, and gained real-world experience that will power her future career. 

“Right now, I work for Mary Greeley (hospital) as a patient care tech on the nursing support Team. I get to go to different units of the hospital depending on where they need help that day and help out on all the different units which is really, really Cool,” said Alayna.  “I’ve also worked for ChildServe and got to work with kids on skill development. I would say those have been the most impactful professional experiences and are really going to help me along the way while applying to physician assistant school and then in the future as a physician assistant.”
