About: For children 4-15 years old

Dates: Next session February 10, 2026, ending on April 23, 2026. Continues to be on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

The program is closed during Spring Break (March 16-20).

Times: The program is offered from 4-5:30 p.m.

Location: Activity spaces are in the Forker building and outside of the Forker building.

Cost: $50.00/participant

Program Design

ISU KIN Kids is an after-school program that serves children in the Ames area. The program focuses on physical activity, so children learn about its benefits and engage in movement regularly. The program is led by pre-service teachers pursuing a degree in Kinesiology and Health with a focus on physical education licensure. The program is provided for 10 weeks each fall and spring semester. The program has been operation since 2004, and swimming no longer takes place due to the decommissioning of the Forker Pool in 2024.
