Program Design
ISU KIN Kids is an after-school program that serves children in the Ames area. The program focuses on physical activity, so children learn about the benefits of an activity and participate in movement on a regular basis. The program is lead by pre-service teachers that are earning a degree in Kinesiology and Health with a focus in physical education licensure. The program is provided for 10 weeks each fall and spring semester. The program has been operation since 2004 and swimming no longer takes place due to the decommissioning of the Forker Pool in 2024.
