Opportunities to Have a Local Community Impact
A variety of applied service learning opportunities are available through a formalized community outreach program called the ISU Community Campus Partnership for Health (CCPH). The CCPH group has affiliations with a number of community agencies through the affiliated ISU GivePulse tool, a volunteer / service learning portal.
Programming is designed as an extension of skills learned in H S 430, Community Health Program Development, and is ideal for students interested in careers in community health organizations. Service learning work serves as a useful bridge for kinesiology students in the community and public health option to secure internships.
