Exercise is Medicine Initiative
Service learning opportunities are available through the ExerCYse outreach program, a local campus/community program focused on advancing the national and international vision of the Exercise is Medicine initiative. Students affiliated with the ExerCYse student organization can enroll in supplemental service learning credits to gain leadership and programming experience.
Programming is coordinated and supervised by a team of faculty and graduate students and is focused on promoting clinical referrals to evidence-based exercise programming (both on campus and in the community). Service learning through ExerCYse provides valuable experiences for those interested in careers in pre-health professions or community-based physical activity programming.
