Be part of an exciting major and engage with faculty and your peers in the study of biological and behavioral disciplines of human movement. Pursue pathways in community and public health programming, exercise science, physical activity and health promotion, physical education teaching, and pre-health professions.

Kinesiology and health – The undergraduate program in kinesiology and health is designed for students who are interested in careers in health, preventive medicine, rehabilitation, human movement, and exercise. Within this major, you may choose from five academic options.

Pre-athletic training – The accelerated program in athletic training prepares you to earn a bachelor’s degree and a master’s in athletic training in five years. Develop knowledge of clinical skills to prevent, treat, evaluate, and rehabilitate injuries and other medical conditions for physically active people.

Diet and exercise – This concurrent bachelor’s and master’s degree program is jointly administered by the Department of Kinesiology and the Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition and can lead to becoming a credentialed registered dietitian or a certified exercise physiologist through the American College of Sports Medicine.
