Program Design

KIN Kids is the youth programming taking place in the Department of Kinesiology each fall semester, spring semester, and in a summer session. The program includes a variety of physical activity and movement options for children that are not strictly focused on sport. Younger children focus on the basics of movement while older children will learn more complicated concepts related to cooperative games, fitness, sport, etc.

The program no longer includes swimming lessons due to the Forker Pool being decommissioned in May 2024.

The program is led by undergraduates pursuing a degree in physical education through the Department of Kinesiology. By allowing your child to come learn with our program, you are helping the department create stronger physical education teachers for the state of Iowa and the nation.
